This list of ‘must-haves’ for the travel/work lifestyle will be growing with the more experience we gain as we go with the God-Flow.

This is what we ‘must-have’ as we travel and work in different locations around Canada and the US:

  • reliable laptop with charging cord
  • stable, reliable internet connection. Not all 5-star resorts have stable internet. If you must work while you travel, make sure to phone the resort to confirm. We learned this the hard way and struggled for 3 weeks.
  • thermal water-bottle for coffee and water for hiking
  • small backpack for day trips
  • a hard copy map. We learned this the hard way, too, when our google maps no longer worked due to no wifi. We were in the middle of the desert and had no idea where to go. We asked Holy Spirit to lead us and He did. It was a bit stressful to say the least.
  • download google map directions to your phone as a picture for the same reasons as above.
  • small purse for small outings
  • purse big enough for a laptop for days ‘in-town’ to work
  • 1 pair of sandals
  • 1 pair of good walking shoes
  • 1 pair of nice shoes
  • 3 warm-weather shirts
  • 3 cool-weather shirts
  • sweater
  • roll-up down jacket
  • 7 underwear
  • black and white bra
  • 7 pairs of socks
  • 1 pair of nice pants (we go to church in each new community but since we change communities regularly, no one knows I wear the same clothes each Sunday)
  • 1 nice shirt
  • PJ’s
  • housecoat
  • slippers
  • sunglasses
  • hat
  • your own mug. I bring my own coffee mug…it makes me feel happy and at home wherever I go.
  • Bible
  • Journal
  • Notebook
  • Book- unless you read online or listen to audiobooks (my go-to). I have found that since we’ve been travelling I have been reading real books more often.
